Château de Duras - Château des Ducs
Overlooking the Dropt valley, in the heart of Lot-et-Garonne, the Château de Duras has gone through the history of France. An atypical monument, it mixes the Middle Ages, the 17th century and the Revolution. Since its acquisition by the town hall of Duras in 1969, the castle has lived to the rhythm of restoration work. The visitor can explore History and Architecture through the 30 restored rooms of this site classified as a Historic Monument and discover the secret passage, the room of Ghosts, the room of the model. The apartments of the Duke and Duchess finally refurnished thanks to a partnership with the Mobilier National allow you to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the 17th century. To end the visit, take advantage of the walkway balconies that go around the castle. Summer 2021, falconry and chivalry shows included in the visit. And always at night the 4D sound and light show.

Opening : Open from February to December, every day: - February, March, November, December: from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. - April, May, June, September, October: from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. - in July, August: from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. - Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays in summer (sound and light evenings) open at night until 9.30 p.m. (last entry 8.30 p.m.) Ticket office closes 1 hour before the site closes. Closed on December 24 and 25. Closed the whole month of January. Groups welcome all year round by reservation.
